TOMS RIVER, NJ – May 26, 2020 – David Richter, Republican candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s Third District, announced today that he has received the unanimous endorsements of the Republican mayors from all 15 Ocean County municipalities that are part of the Third District.
The list of recent mayoral endorsements includes Beachwood Mayor Ron Roma, Island Heights Mayor E. Steven Doyle, Lavallette Mayor Walter LaCicero, Mantoloking Mayor Lance White, Ocean Gate Mayor Paul Kennedy, Ocean Township Mayor Ken Baulderstone, Pine Beach Mayor Lawrence Cuneo, Point Pleasant Mayor Robert Sabosik, Seaside Heights Mayor Tony Vaz, Seaside Park Mayor John Peterson and Toms River Mayor Mo Hill.
In addition, Richter had previously received the endorsements of Barnegat Mayor John Novak, Berkeley Mayor Carmen Amato, Lacey Mayor Steve Kennis and Stafford Mayor Greg Myhre.
“I appreciate the overwhelming support we have received from municipal leaders throughout Ocean County. With the official endorsement of the Ocean County Republican Organization and the support of so many other Republican party leaders and elected officials throughout the county, I am confident of victory in the July primary and I look forward to challenging and defeating Andy Kim in November,” said Richter.
Richter is the former CEO of global construction management firm Hill International. During his time at the company, Hill grew from a struggling family business with less than 300 employees into a successful public company with more than 4,300 employees. A lifelong Republican, Richter grew up in and has spent most of his life living and working in the Third District. He earned two bachelor’s degrees and a law degree from Penn as well as master’s degrees from Oxford and Harvard. Richter and his wife Michelle, who have been married for 20 years, are the parents of four daughters.
